Went on my first run since Judah this afternoon ... a family run! I pushed Judah in our jogging stroller and my husband pushed our two year old in a quasi-jogging stroller on loan. It felt so good to get out, and the weather was nice. We are having a mild winter, which is fine by me. The run was slow, of course, but less painful than I anticipated. In fact, my overall fitness felt okay (legs and lungs) ... it was my incision from surgery that was painful. Even though I have been given clearance from my doctor to resume normal activity post baby, clearly there are still some things on the mend. No matter, it wasn't enough to stop me from running completely. We ran over the the NYRR office to pick up a race packet for the New Year's Eve Midnight Run tomorrow (for my husband, not me!), and then circled back home. I can't guarantee that my next run is around the corner, particularly with two kids now, but at least I am able to make an effort.
