Sick

I got really sick yesterday and am still feeling it today...I don't know if it was fajita night last night, or something to do with the pregnancy or what, but it definitely had me out of commission. We are traveling the next 2 days, so no running for me for a few days...

Round Trip

Today's run was a round trip event including a stop off at the bottom of the park to see the Bouldering Championships, then over to the Conservatory Lake in Central Park, back up the Eastside and home again for a total of 3.2 miles...then after showers a picnic dinner in the park. Perfect day!

Trek

I did not run today, but trekked across the park to a playground on the Eastside for a playdate, then walked down to the Central Park zoo, then back over to the Westside for a picnic in the park, and finally back home...all pushing my son in his jogger. Great play time for him, and a 3.7 mile workout for me!

I've had a lot to juggle lately, so I've gotten a little behind on my blog posts for each run...these next few will be l.a.m.e.

Run with the Hubs

My parents are in town, which gives my hubby and I some time to run together sans 2 yr-old! We did an easy 2.5 this afternoon :)

Women's Mini 10k

I definitely had some reservations about this race, mostly all concerning my ability to run a 10k after all of the running drama over the last few months. But at least I could run this one, unlike the one back in April, so I was thankful for that. I also had a handful of friends running this race too, so camaraderie always helps! One of my friends ended up running the entire race with me, which I was so grateful for. Of course I was not able to race because of the pregnancy and my lack of fitness as of late, but I still enjoyed it. I had to make a pit stop after just one mile, something I absolutely hate to do, but the baby must have been hanging out on my bladder because I was about desperate by the time I reached W90th St and Central Park West...the convenient thing was the race course literally crossed in front of my apartment, so instead of waiting in line behind 10 other women, I dashed up to my apartment and got back out on the course in about 3 minutes, ha!

I ended up finishing the race in a 1:01:25, a 9:54 pace. I will take that!
